im just wondering if anyone knows how to customise the default controller maps with reason. i know about remote overide but thats not what im after because the control stays locked on to that perticular parameter for good, i just wanna be able to set up custom controls for each device but have had no luck on the net. help appreciated !!
hehe sorry matey there were no other helpful posts quite as descriptive as your and after seeing the info emblazoned across my screen i found an urge to put my newly learned information into practice hahaha
meanwhile forgetting to check for more relevant reply's. thanks though jimmy
ez clarkee m8,
wot controller do you have?
i take it you've asked mr google?
if all else fails try sending an email off to the makers of the controller,
you never know some times the makers can be pretty helpfull.

oh Martyn how comes u wanna set ur instruments up like that? unless u wanna control several parameters thru multiple midi i don't see the point (correct me if im wrong haha) my mate murad has multiple midis set up thru cubase but i think its a lot easier to do that in cubase (eg so one keyboard controls several midis or several keyboards controlling different midi channels etc)
so basically cut a long story short - i dunno
sorry matey

i wanna add some more live stuff man see how it works out but it only maps to suitable parameters on the subtractor and i suppse the thor but i would like to set it up like you can in massive, kinda like the macros so that when that instrument isnt selected you can edit others
if you catch my drift.
and yeah googled my controller man and still no joy, its pissin me off though because im itching to get on it hahaha, i only have 8 nobs (keep the jokes to yourselves guys) but still think its would sound much better than programming with the mouse and they could be useful matey
i'd say: select by mouse-click the device you wanna control, and do the 'edit remote override mapping'
I know you don't prefer this solution, but as far as i can understand your question and your setup, this seems the easiest way, afaik.
Undo the 'Surface Locking' might help as well, and what i find particularly helpful, is the 'additional remote override'. This way you can f.e. assign a simple button on your keyboard to select the next/previous track. So no mouse is needed here.
Hope i helped you out.
