do you guys even read what it says in the boxes before you click ?
it certainly defeats the point. I can see a lot of friendly voting and bandwagon jumping

infact come to think of it 1 week i had a track that was clippin to fuck and i mean it was buggered totally
that score 95 percent yeat a track with a good mix gets like 70 strange ay?

Hmm, I'm not sure I agree with you here. Yes, there are some strong votes, but then again, there's some strong tunes there. Seems like you're making assumptions about the scores and the way people vote? At the time of writing, here's the most recent list of scores...
95.9%
88.2%
84.7%
43.1%
55.6%
92.7%
58.3%
94.3%
55.3%
Those scores seem pretty normal and fair to me.

you could be right, to be fair a lot of the tunes sent to the site do sound good nowadays.
its the thing, when I click on the music page, boom a lot of super rated tunes
IMO all of them need a -15% to the overall vote

is it down to there being less votes on a lot of tunes? some tunes only get like 4/5 votes whereas others get 10+, evens out the vote more.....does seem to be a lot of 95.7% tunes about tho.....

More voters will even out those high's.
@Cynik: I don't see your name amongst this weeks top voters, so it might be safe to asume that you didn't vote on those "overrated" tracks yet. Please make sure you voted on them and give a "hard but fair" score. If the problem with overrating persists you can always repost your complaint.

I know this is going to piss people off 
so if a tune is overrated to which I would normally give an overall 7, I vote 2 instead to average it out, is that ok?
I rarely use the voting, but you can assume the scores I'd give judging by the reviews
and to everyone who might get it wrong, I do think generally the tunes on the site sound good. its just that the 5 stars is something that was reserved for the REALLY good tunes, and I mean really good.
but now you cant differentiate them as these fives dont really deserve it, theyre mostly fours and threes

I remember a while back there were like one or two 5 star tunes a month and the top list even included stuff with the 4 and 4 and a half. There definitively is a value decline…
Anyway, stars are nice but they won’t make you improve your production or something. A review counts more! So as long as the reviewing is working, I guess it’s all fine.

I guess a lot of people do so and I was kinda disappointed as I heard that the votes differing strongly from the average will be ignored (even though it’s a good thing).
I didn’t really vote any more since that day actually

nah thats why I dont mention reviewing at all. reviews are mostly quality, from what I can see Tomos, Battledrone, Dethworm, Ketz etc etc. really give honest and helpful reviews, its why the site is so great in fact. would love to see the voting thing works out though. thechronic put so much hard work into it

Actually, I would say no because this totally destroys the point of the voting system. It's not for you - or any other voter - to say what the overall score should be. The point of the voting system is to provide the producer with an accurate reflection of the opinions of the voters. Otherwise, there would be no point in having a voting system. If you start compensating for what you regard as an inaccurate overall score by deliberately voting down tunes, not only are your scores useless, but very dishonest too.
Obviously, I can't tell you how to vote, it's up to you. But please just concentrate on giving your own objective scores. It's not the responsibility of the voter to deliberately alter the overall scores. For all you know, someone may think your own tunes are scored too highly. Would you really want someone to start deliberately giving you really poor scores in order to bring down the overall score?
I'm not picking on you here cynik, I would say the same to anyone.
