wow REALLY eloquent...great funky as shit drum programming. Got a ultra fresh and funky vibe along with amazing little sounds. You make all this from ONE break?
It needs an even thicker base and one or two synth mids Fx type layers. Sounds good on hearphones good mix and overall level. Could also use some good one hits placed on top to give it more depth. But if you just trying to go for only using the one break than nevermind.
jimmy ur one to watch in this compo, really hard to tell that all this was synthesised from one break, so many different types of sounds, textures - very impressive

The only thing it's really lacking is some kind of sweeping pad to glue everything together. The drops sounds a little empty atm. I do like the beats tho, reminds me of Roni Size or Breakbeat Era. I'd probably ease up on the distortion a touch tho. There's a decent amount of sub here.

I have recently started to create drum and bass tracks myself, though I have been making music for a few years, and listening to alternative electronic dance music for even longer. I believe this track could be a little more energetic, perhaps. In my opinion it could probably use a powerfull synth or even a distorted guitar. I would also raise the tempo slightly, but then I am really obsessed wit high tempos and tracks that make you want to get off your seat and start shaking your everything. Overall the track doesn't sound bad, in fact I consider to be way better than what I am capable of, but it could use some improvements or some samples.

I don't want to add any samples or synths or guitars.
All the sounds I have made for the track have come directly from the drum loop itself so adding any of those things you say would be defeating the point.
this sounds great man and all from one break....basses actually sound really deep and warm, really well arranged too, some great drum programming and tons of variation throughout....really good stuff, maybe add another layer to the snare, something a bit grittier to beefen it up...thats about my only critique, really nice stuff!
