So...

Who can participate in Design Festa 29?
You and anyone who wants to. Are you an painter, illustrator, photographer, graphic designer, multi-media experimentalist, installation creator, lighting designer, craft worker, fashionista, hair and/or make-up artist, flower arranger, doll maker, figurine collector, singer, band or performance artist, then why not take this opportunity to show your stuff to thousands of potential customers and clients?

What do I have to do to participate?
Fill out your application, pay the required nominal fee, show up on either or both days, and get your art on! (http://www.designfesta.com/application/index_en.html)

Where does this all take place?
Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo's largest convention center, located in Odaiba, just across the Rainbow Bridge. DF 29 will host thousands of international artists in 5 distinct areas:

Booth Areas – More than 2600 free-style booths will be set up to exhibit, present and sell each artist's work. A special Dimmed Lighting area will also be available for those interested. We will accept applications for these areas until all booths are SOLD OUT on a first come - first served basis, so apply early!

Outdoor Live-Show Stage – Twenty bands of various genres will get their opportunity to let loose, on stage. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

Indoor Stage – Taiko, dance, catwalk style and more will grace this indoor performance area. Will it be you? The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

Mini Theater Space – Animation, dramas, experimental films and avant-garde performances take place here. Be part of this atmospherically-lit netherworld. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

Restaurant & Cafe/Bar Area – Kick back, have a thirst-quenching drink while enjoying either some traditional and international cuisine in this bustling, seated area. The deadline for vendor applications is Wednesday, March 4, 2009.

When does this all go down?
Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17 from 11 > 7, then 'poof' it's gone for another six months.

Why does DF do this?
Because being an artist isn't easy, not matter how talented you are. It takes vision, dedication, attention to detail, effort, time and money, and you still may never get discovered. That's why DF exists... for all you hard work, you get the opportunity to have your work seen by thousands of people, and maybe even get that elusive break. Design Festa is artistically fertile soil. Not only do you get to show your own work, but you are exposed to many other different artists. The camaraderie alone is worth being there! Show, see, meet, buy, sell, enjoy! That's why!
