I got two technics MKII's, but one of them has a normal output with aarding (well it should be)
and another with no aarding and it has a regular output level (like a cd player ...)
so normally i connect the second one to a line- and the first just to a phono input. This normally causes that i have to put the second one's gain a bit lower ...
Lately the normal one is reaching way too high levels which makes that even if i put the gain all the way down it stills has an overdrive, so i can't spin anymore or i'll blow my speakers and my ears, nor record anything ...

please please somebody help me out asap, i'm going crazy !

Is it a modified SL1200?? Does it have RIAA-preamplification built in?

I would open up the modified one and throw out the preamp, and just use the output from the needle into the phono input of your mixer. Be sure to connect the ground to the chassis of the turntable, otherwise you'll get serious hum.

Oh is it the normal one that is having a too high output level...

That's not possible actually, I would try changing the needle, and try using a different phono input of your mixer - most likely that the fault is in the mixer instead of in the Technics.

I tried all that but it's okay now ...
seemed to be some mistake in my Soundcard's driver, ....
still don't know what, but i got it fixed by changing some stuff and rechanging etc ...

well, all I can say is (when you have the time) do a "format" and start from base zero.

Do you connect them directly to your soundcard or do you use a DJ-mixer inbetween?
