in order to be different u need to master how to be standard / conventional / generic (imo) u need to learn the rules in order to bend / break them....

... as opposed to going off on a mad tangent that no one else will ever understand

Typical newbie problem I guess. Newbies tend to think that all you need to do is get sound out of a DAW and when it doesn't sound like everyone else's it means it is "original". Some people need "a lot" of feedback before they get the correct impression of their own level though Roll Eyes .
