well I'm back...from the dead, oops no I'm still in the army...this is sth I cooked up on my vacation...we get a weeks leave from the base...(still 3 months to go)...sry for not being much of a commentator but we have so little free time and no net!...hope you enjoy, this is sth different, its a conversion of one of me rock tunes... think it came out pretty nice...ill let u be the judge of that
hey man just saw that u checked my tune out thanks
ya man ur music always has strong melodies and this one is no different, that synth is very oriental, very catchy as well!
i think the beat u chose works well for this kinda track my only critique is the snare is slight boxy i think something snappier would work much better here
still really refreshing stuff here man, good to have u back!
Hey dude thanks for your feedback on my track!!!! Its very much appreciated dude!
Yeh, I really like this track! It's actually very musical, which i like, and the melodies are catchy! There is also a good variation in the bass underneath which is always essential to a good tune, thou i would try and bring it up in the mix just for a bit more bite and fuller sound. I would also just try and layer up the beats a bit more just to fill it out a tad and work a touch on the snare as Ketz said.
to be honest it sounds like more cheesy synth chords, like something from 90's house music then anything, you need to get some sampled instruments in it. i dunno just to cheery for my liking maybe. but the drums seem thin too, layering them up some would helps. because you got the high pads and synths delay, and an organ in the mid, and the drums, and the bass, but no instruments in the lower mids, and the drums seem to be more crisp and not full bodied. so if you had something that you could layer with the bass a) you'd hear the bass more b) you'd have a more full bodied tune.
luckily you could use that to help define your drop better. maybe add it in and just change bass layering for drop and verse, a lighter one for verse, and a more gritty one for drop, cuz this song lacks any grit.
maybe some light flangers on the synths there to help warm up the mix too.

well cant please everyone's likings, as for the theme, this track I made from a very early rock tune I made way back when I first started programming music, just wanted to see if conversions can work out good or not, tho I agree I could have made it less "cheesy" but for some nostalgic reason of me own I wanted to preserve the old tunes "sound" if you know what I mean...
I'm not wild about the tune until it gets to about 2.00, and then it really picks up for me. The melodies seem to gel very nicely from that point onwards. I'm not keen on the beats tho. They really do lack punch. Plus, I can hear some unedited loops in there from FL, which is a bit off-putting. The tune kinda loses its way towards the end. You need to work on the last minute and give it a proper outro. Overall, pretty good but room for improvement.
