Hi all,
Last December we celebrated 1 year Ruffskool at Scheldapen.
Now we are back in the new year and we are proud to present you the next edition of Ruffskool.
We invited our good friend DJ Trax who is bringing along with him
legendary rave & jungle pioneer NOOKIE aka CLOUD 9.
I guess Nookie doesn't need an introduction but for those of you who
don't know Nookie was responsable for "Give a little love", one of the
first underground rave anthems of 1992, "The sound of music", another
early rave anthem from "The return of Nookie EP" in 1993, and many more seminal tunes.
Nookie has remixed tunes from Goldie (Innner City Life), Adam F, Doc
Scott, Omni Trio, Krome & Time, Ganja Crew and his music has been promoted by all the big shots like Grooverider, Fabio and LTJ Bukem over the years. He released records on leading jungle/drum&bass/hardcore labels such as Absolute 2 Records, Reinforced, Moving Shadow and Bukem's Good Looking Records to name just a few.
At Ruffskool NOOKIE & TRAX will do a 4 hour set in an intimate setting
bringing you the finest, true oldschool jungle, breakbeats and hardcore
from back in the days.
Ofcourse resident DJ Stekker will be game too alongside Karbonkid and Havoc.
All night long Blub Video will guide you through space and time with
next-level visual art, those who were at Ruffskool last time know what
that means.
All of this is happening at your favourite underground spot in Antwerp:
Scheld'Apen, on friday 20 march.

That would be cool mate. I don't think the bloke is rated high enough in the scene. The tracks he produced in the early 90 were technically and musically genious compared to some of the names mainly remembered from that age. His only let down was working with Ray Keith, sorry if that sounded harsh, but his remixes were pretty much the same for each track, excluding Scottie and Inesse. A shame he wasn't working with Skanna instead. That would of been an unbeatable force.
