I spent some time working on this one. I modified a reece patch I made by using the lowpass/hipass filtering. I spent more time mastering this track than my others. The pads themselves and the chords you play with them are not adding to a dark vibe (which I thought you wanted to create). But I'm sorry to say, that I just don't really feel the track... Where you filter the track out, maybe just do it on a couple of instuments, sound horrible. __ 04-02-2009 09:12 Mov3mnt Producer Registration Date: 22-01-2009 Posts: 26 The bass comes in in the beginning and i think interferes with the bass from the filtered sweep. mayebe some eq on the sweep. snare could be snappier and break through the mix alot more. a bit rounded. I think too much bass on the kick too. also interfers with the bass. i think the cymbals could be louder and clearer. more definition in the drums. i like the synth sound. nice n tearing. padding sounds at around 1:20. could be clearer in the mix too. i dont really like the filter used at 2:00 ish. i like the use of it just not the sound from that filter. I think if the padding sounds were louder, clearer the song would carry more, the synth sound gets a little repetitive. i like the song overall though. 04-02-2009 16:22 Ketz Thinking outside the box...
