Alchemy does look like a competitor to Massive/Reason/absynth. a big synth that does more then it should.
the pitch shifting seems cool but it's based on percents, i wonder if you can set it to midi controlled notes, that would be very useful. if not, then useless.

The random funtion alone looks like a beaut. Bit of a lazy way of doing things but if you're lacking a little inspiration you can hit the random button and get an inspiration sound out of nowhere.
Plus you can define the randomness so that if you want a sound scape/lead etc it will randomise its parameters in such a way to make one. awesome
if you were bored one day you could just sit down and hit randomise saving all the patches that sound useful and use them for a later date. plus they'd be sounds no one else had.
this synth looks immense! wtf! camel audio make amazing plug-ins but this looks like the best yet! the f**kin options are crazy, think this could be the best synth ive ever seen on paper, hopefully it sounds and acts as good it makes out

Atleast those Camel plugs are always very user friendly and I like the sound of them.
If you guys are stunned by this one, then get Fabfilters' Twin2 synth, once you get the hang of the GUI it is really good too.

I second the bigup on Twin2, if you've used Volcano or whatever then it'll be dead easy to use as the GUI is more or less the same.

i tryed fabfilters twin last night for about 30 mins and came up with the dirtyst bass ive ever made, it is cool as fuck. this alchemy looks reall good aswell. im downloading a demo now.
