i don't make new years resolutions as i never stick by them
although i have managed to cut my smoking to 4 a day on weekdays (weekends are another story)
I want to drink and smoke less!
I want to loose some weight

it's not about sticking to them, it's about making them. finding something you know you could be doing better. at least that's what my mom said after i sent her this message.
"I know i should walk zero every single day 3 times a day. i should eat 5-6 healthy nutritional meals, full of fiber, low on bad calories, high in omega-3's, with lots of leafy greens, and proteins that isn't fatty, and have 8 cups of water a day, brush after every meal and before and after i goto bed, and floss regularly, don't have to many sweets, and go for a jog, do aerobic exercise, clean the house every week, do the dishes as the come not let them pile up, get a better job, work on the resume, and probably call you more often too, not get in fights with Lisa and dad, get the oil changed every 3 months or 50k which ever comes first, make sure the air tire pressure is withing 5psi of the recommend 35 psi on the car, have emergency road side kits int eh car including thermal blanket, candle, flares, and to be sure to goto bed at a regular time."

yeah I see what ur sayin Halph, I suppose its the pessamist in me saying that new years is just an excuse for us to make resolutions
on the other hand having just said that I beleive if u make certain promises to urself and stick to them - regardless of what time during the year it is its has the same effect (for example ever since i saw a doctor in Kenya on my holiday there about 6 months ago i've been eating healty ie cooking dinner everyday fruit / veg / 5 a day and hardly any takeaways, reduced the smoking a lot and joined a gym - although the last one i still need to use more haha)
new years can be a good time ofcourse to do this mentally as we always see it as a "fresh start"
well didnt stick to mine instead i carried newyears eve on throuh the next day, and the next day. but starting from NOW i am sober.................honest
