Good idea on the whole track but after the drop there is just no punch whatsover. You need some smash after the drop. And the snare is terrible ...sorry just what I hear. I like the idea of the track though. The bassline needs to be fatter as well. All in all good ideas.
Did you listen to the whole of the track and what are you listening from headphones , speakers (how big frerquency range)?
i'm just wondering not dissing your opinion. i'm just a bit mythed at the response cos i thought i was pretty heavy and all and so did aload of mates at school?
thnx for the comment btw.
are you new to the site haven't seen you around much
Why does this track sound soooo familiar, or atleast alot of the samples do. Oh wait, now that it dropped doesnt sound familiar at all. Definetly is quite low in the volume department. Not really to fond of the breaks. They are too uppity sounding for that sick reece and bline action. Once the amen comes in you need to adjust the pitch of your layered break cause it is way to high pitched imo. Kinda sounds like oldskool happy hardcore innit. I personally would rethink the breaks completely, but the reece/bline action are pretty sweet, and the buildups are dope, its just the drops kind of disappoints. But keep at it. RespeKt! Oh yeah gotta give u props on the amen edits they roll for sure in the breakdowns, but you cant get the full appreciation cause of the layered break being so high pitched. BOH!
Actually just wanted to add my part to the punch factor. I do agree it needs more. The selection of sounds, kick and snare is good but the oopmph is missing. Maybe your not used heavy pumping music and so keeping the paunchiness to down low…I’m not sure.
Check this little cut-out of two tunes and compare the oomph-factor to your track. Do you now see what’s missing? The first one is some pro tune (I know it’s not dnb but punch is punch) and I did the second one (shitty) in order to get the first one’s punch:
A/b listening FTW mate!!! Do it with some spor tunes maybe.
Drums are pretty full of percussions what’s a good thing. They roll well though the snare is getting a bit lost in the other sounds, should stand out more.
Good tune finish it, but be careful not to overdo it with punch/compression because people then tend to hear clipping in your mix that you just don’t.
interesting intro, lots going on, got my attention....vocal sample is cool, drums are nice and fast, lack a bit of punch, some cool percussive sounds but the drums seem a bit weak , snare doesnt cut through the mix enough and the kick is too high, needs a to hit a lot harder, try getting it too peak around 100hz so it sits well with the sub....some nice work on the arrangement but the overall structure seem a bit disjointed, overall mix is quite quiet too, mid-range bass is nice and gritty, maybe a bit of modulation to give it some movement, not a bad tune overall, got potential but needs a bit of work....
hey man, good work on the intro pretty dark stuff actually! musicality, structure and ideas are all wicked here - nice stuff!
agree with the comments, just need to beef the beats up a bit, more punch and more layers so it rolls better, also the mid bass sounds need to made bigger get it darker!
great production quality. really like the flickery hard style beats, with plenty of variation. not too much bad i can think of for this one really- great tune,if anything- a little too heavy for me (but thats my fault).
Music wise this is great. Production wise it needs to be a lot more punchy and dynamic. Completely agree with A/B-ing your tunes, it's a great insight into what should be going on. Get a noisia tune into ur DAW and watch it on a spectrum analyser.. Love the feel of this tune, just wish it sat heavier.
