Lately i've become annoyed with searching for good reece samples so i decided to spend an afternoon teaching myself to make reeces from scratch. This tune is the first fruit of this labour. The reece was made with the 3xosc in fruity loops and processed with fl plug ins. It's designed to be a repetitive, hypnotic riff that the beats change around. Hopefully it comes across as atmospheric and moody. There's one small reece sample i pilfered from ketz (cheers buddy!).

reece action crunchin thru like no one bizness
steppy beat likin that mate, like when the fast hats come in, starts to rooolll
it is quite hypnotic like u've said (i don't think the odd reece variation would have hurt but still its all good everything else changes up to keep things interesting)
kick punches thru the mix well, snare as well (maybe a tad more presence on the snare?)
apaart from that wicked stuff mate, u've defo got vibe - keep em comin!
Intro runs a tad long. Once it drops that reece is nasty just wish it had more to it. It IS quite repetitive, you should try to add some more to it. Another thing I would take the reverb you have on it off, and that piano riff at 3:45 needs to go, cause #1 its off key, and just comes out of nowhere. Beats are rolling but need to be tightened up just a tad, other than that, keep at it, the track has potential if you changed a few things here and there.
Tune is a bit empty at times and the pads that get added around 3' don't do the job for me.
Your drums sound really good, but you seem to have forced everything to absolute mono, the drums now sound like they come out of my monitor. Maybe you can split them in a low and a high end and don't center the high end so extreme so it sounds more natural.

@ battle - not sure about the mono drums. Wasn't intentional and haven't processed them to be like that. Maybe just cos this was made on headphones i'm not noticing it properly ?

. Will spice up the reece a bit but i'm not sure about takin reverb off. Will try it with/without to test. Also that piano sound runs thru the intro so it's not completely out of nowhere. will try to adjust key tho if it seems off.

ezy mate , nothing to complain about production wise, im listening on headphones and it sounds really good. i would say the reece could do with more variation and maybe another layer and maybe the intro could do with filling out as at the moment it sounds a bit barron. good work tho sounds really good.
I like the spacey intro. Awesome. Sounds great. Mix sounds nice and clean. Maybe a bit too long...But awesome after the drop love the bass. Great song overall.
Yeah, this does sound a bit empty on some sections, such as the intro (the intro should give you an instant rush of vibes, but yours doesn't unfortunately), but once the beats drop the tune starts to sound super phat.
I'm not as concerned about the mono beats as Battle because, on my headphones at least, they sound really sweet.
Sub is good. Very clear and doesn't conflict.
Love the melodies throughout. Kept me enticed till the end. Loved the bongos - a very nice touch. Good reese sounds too, especially for a first attempt.

its the drums and the bass that stand out in this track, which is what its all about i guess. they sit really well together and sound nice and phat. a little repetative tho, more variation in the drums might do it. are the drums loops??

I quite liked the minimal flavourings of the intro but I'll try some more ideas to give it more life.
It is only a demo so the drums are just basic at the mo.
@motive89 - It's 3 layered breaks with extra kik n snare action.
Rest assured i will get this done and dusted soon.
wicked bass. I love proper subby tunes. Reese is pretty good aswell. I'd say it does need a few more variations in it to maintan the interest but it is good. Beats are crisp, Kick and sub working very nicely together.
