Please check out my new track 'Mood Swing' and post your comments here!
this is my first upload in ages. this is just a short preview of the full track.
i made the beats using loads of different samples from old skool breaks i choped up in cubase, and layerd four breaks in there aswell. all the bass is made with massive and the atmos are bits chopped from some of my fav sci-fi tv progs.
This is a sick track. It reminds me of the jungle scene about ten years ago. Nice use of the scifi cuts for ambiance. I dig the bass lines. The drums are a bit basic. However I like the use of the reverse hits. The build ups and transitions are off the hook. I just wish the drops would hit harder. Overall a sweet track. Keep it up.

I agree to what have been said above about kick oomph-ing and pads. Apart from the slight mixdown issues the production is good and clear, especially the hi-end.
In some parts the tune sounded a bit empty. Maybe tweak your bass sounds a bit more, add some harmonics so filtering works better.
nice intro to this, kick could punch thru more, layer it man it will defo benifit the tune, nice bass sounds coming in, and nice squelch shizzel before the drop... i think the drop is ok, nice sounds but needs a simple hook of a bass to get them heads bopping, i rekon this has pottential for sure, nice feel to it, almost old school feel to it, and we all love that even if most dont admit it...
overall i would say beef up that kick, and get a nice simple rolling bass to add what you allready have...
peace

- he makes threats and insults to members and moderators in personal messages and forum posts
- he uploaded a track to this site which violated the copyright of DJ Zinc

I advise anyone to avoid doing any business with this individual, or his "labels" mp3styleproductions.info, drumandbase.info, reverbnation.com/freestylednb, musicv2.com/artist/nebula, soundcloud.com/freestylednb as he is not to be trusted and will probably try to steal your work.

thanks for the feedback guys, to be honest i kind of rushed the last couple of layers of breaks and i think its taken away from the tracks low end. anyways im not starting anything till i have finished this!! i think im gonna take care of that kick and add a synth or two in there. cheers.
Haven't got much to add to what's already been said tbh, although I'd have to disagree with some peeps and say the high frequencies are a tad too prominent. I'm listening to this on headphones and the high frequencies, especially on the shakers, are a bit knarly. The mix, as a whole, has too many high frequencies I think. If you agree, you could simply EQ some of the highs from the master channel to solve this. That should do the trick.

Nice tune! Maybe some of the breaks need tidying up, they sometimes sound a little cluttered and all hitting around the high end without too much of a low end. The bass is disgustingly wobbly, usually I don't like that too much but it seems to work here so nice one on that lol. Think there could be a little more going on melody wise to keep up a little bit more interest throughout the track tho. Beef up the breaks and this tune works great.
