I have decided to try out the stereo imager in Reason 3. I thought that it would just expand or decrease the sound from the middle. But I have noticed that if you turn the level down, it is more working like an EQ. IE: knocking the frequecies out
Anyone know why?

hmm yer ive used the stereo imager and sometimes its done wierd stuff like that be4, i find if ur trying to make a sound wider in stereo it helps using a reverb unit be4 as that decorates the stereo sound a bit 2, and the stereo imager then has more to widen. Also if ur making a stereo sound mono sometimes you can get phasing between the two channels, and some frequencies can cancel each other out which might be a problem?

Thanks timmi. Glad it's not just me that has the problem! I was actually trying to make the sound mono, well more mono if that makes sense, when I noticed it. Bit annoying really, but I will let Propellorheads of this time

I always found a little chorus to work great on stereo.
A dirty solution to get more stereo is to use an echo which is not delayed at all and then pan the original sound and the echo to different sides. Works best with mono sounds ofcourse.
