Hey does anybody know where to download Roland mc-909 samples or a refill? I like the snares and bassdrums, but i can't seem to find them anywhere, if these sounds crossed your path, please let me know.

I have been told that Praga khan / Lords of Acid use an mc-909 in their first cd
21st century skin. You could be right though, not sure.
Does the tr-909 sound like that?

the mc-909 isn't that old, I'm quite sure you mean the TR-909

I googled "tr-909 drumkit samples" and used the second search result. Here you can DL every drumhit in every possible variation. Makes the machine fully obsolete.

k thx, I downloaded the tr-909 and tr-808, loaded some bassdrums and snares. Layered them, put some distortion on it, and some reverb. But still it sounds lame! Any tips on creating that energy filled drumlines (praga, lors, prodigy,...)

Try processing with analog distortion (search for TubeVST).

When you say you've layered them do you mean you've just layered the 808's and 909's together?

I am using reason, so vst support is not availeble.

Just the ones from the 909 just double snares and double bassdrums.
