Good question. I'm deffo into the deep stuff. Although I do dip my toes into all kinds of crap, my heart has always been into the deeper, more emotional, liquid-ish drum n bass when it comes to producing. I really feel those vibes when I'm producing. (Interestingly, when I listen to dnb, I often prefer the slightly darker, techy styles.)

not that i've uploaded a tune for ages let alone review peoples tracks (lazy bastard) when i produce i cant help but fall into the late 90's vibe, early techstep, ed rush optical era. i guess cos of my age and thats what i like, along with the more progressive neurofunk stuff, noisia, spor, prolix etc..
I've recently got my FL8 running again, got bags of enthusiasm to get writing tunes again, re-educate myself, start from scratch if you like..
i get alot of inspiration form this site, cant believe its been almost 5 years i've been a member!! not one website has come close to being bookmarked in my browsers for that lengh of time!!
biggup dnb.be, its creator the chron and its loyal headz!!
I love techy and dark stuff (but not hardstep) on one end, this could be Metalheadz, Rufige crew, No U-turn, Ram,... which is my regular style.
Then there's minimal stuff which from Shogun, Critcal,... which I'm trying to get into.
And there's liquidis deep stuff which I do together with Tomos mostly.

haha yeah man! one of the old skool members - get uploading!
ur right about this site too, i've actually been looking at some of the other dnb forums and while theres a lot of talent out there u do get a lot of shit n attitude on most those forums, not here, this site has definately had such a major impact on helping me progress as a producer - big up the dotbe!
woops! sorry should have put darkstep with hardstep (2 go hand in hand most times) and a separate one for old skool / jungle - oh well all covered in the "other" section i suppose
As much as i like having a good dance to some fucked up techy dark DnB, I think i prefer making the more deeper melodic stuff. I like working with a few elements and trying to make them sound good My other project with my mate is more ambient IDM stuff so I'm sure that influences my DnB somehow.. Not so keen on the cheesy liquid (as wrong as that sounds) but it's how a few of my early attempts turned out..

Disgusting darkstep is where I'm at! Off beat chaos and military style pneumatic drill rhythms.

I make quite a few styles really.although listening to the last few uploads i've had they have nearly all been quite techy.
look back at some of the stuff i've done before and i can do it a little deeper sometimes
the more i listen to the wibble wobble the more i like that sound. i like it all to be honest, dnb is dnb theres no mistaking it........................ prolly why my own tunes sound so confused??

My style of drum and bass is mostly about combining melodic elements with some harder/ harsher parts cause I like both of em as well as the combination.
I mostly produce hip hop and house/electro stuff where melodies are quite important so I guess that’s the source.
