All of these produce lots of great sounds - basses, pads, FX, strings, guitars, etc, etc. I use them all the time.

if ur talkin about filters then Kontakt is a beast of a sampler that has loads of filter options (i think u can go up to 8 levels of processing in one go before even thinkin about resamplin!)
synths - massive, z3ta (or the later i haven't even figured out yet lol)
filters: camel phat!! - awesome lfo capabilities.....synths - z3ta, absynth, fm7, blue, albino, predator, analog warfare....camel space is always good for crazy sounds....

I'm not sure whether they'll work on Macs but I know for sure they all work on PCs.

No, I use FL. (FL only works on a PC). The Junglist plugin definitely works on PCs.
