Please check out my new track 'False Node' and post your comments here!

Hey!

Been a while since anything from me, uni & traveling have stunted my drum and bass bones.

This is only the beginning... I would love to have a general vibe, to put me in the right direction. I know where I want it to go, but feedback on sounds would be great! Alot of the edits arent in there, and beat movement is null. As for mastering, not completely tops!

Thanks everyone!!

V NICE! VNICE!

Loving the atmospherics. Bongo/conga pattern too fast for my liking but im am really digging the orchestration and mood. Fix up the bongos and i think you'll have an A+ intro. The beats are really nice, but the snare gets a tad boring/annoying after a while. Needs more snap and less woomph if that makes sense. Love the drop, bassline if wicked. Maybe add some more edits later on, but that's up to you. You need to watch the snare here, this is where it starts getting annoying. some EQ'ing and maybe some gating of your layers? Working on some stereo placment aswell!

Liking it so far! Keep working on it!

hi ben, been a while Happy right from the get go - i like the bongos already i can picture a mad african tribseman going nuts on them bongos Drummer yeah!

cheesey is right more snap to the snare, sounds a bit "dull" if that makes any sense could do with more high end and a tad more punch as well.

breakdown is done nicely, good transition. wicked bass when it comes in, could be bigger imo more on the low mids needs maybe a bit more texture to it, get that sound to teeeeaar thru the mix (listen to KZSS tunes he's been on here lately he's got some big basslines if u wanna know what i'm chattin bout)

this has defo got all the ingredients of being a killer needs pumping up particularly on the bass, arrangement sounding sweet so far. oh turn that kick up could do with a bit more presence (or maybe another layer)

good stuff man, let us hear the final version when ur done! Bigup

BONGOS! I love bongos, but never have the guts to get them into my own tunes lol. Right from the off, I like the breakdown. with the subtle pads and delayed effects. ..Wicked drop, snare is a little boingy and not enough thwack, and as a result it gets a little painful to listen to. I think the bass could be a little more simplistic sub-wise, you kno? just to get the big-ness of the drop across. I hope that makes sense. All in all a promising start to a tune.
