This is a killer tune I made in tribute to Current Value. I know I may get busted for this one on copyrighted samples, but that's why I decided to upload a link instead of a song page one. Please listen, and if it's fked^ then mods may remove it at their liking. Anyway, I made this remix in a matter of maybe 2 days and it's pretty nice. The original

I listened to the original then your remix- while it is heavy I'm not really a fan of this style.

Your remix essentially sounds like sections of the original processed with some new percussion elements added on top of it. You can't really add much to the actual sound quality because it's tight to begin with, and some of the breaks you use sound a bit echoey and reverby. There aren't really any new melodic elements so the remix doesn't really do anything new. I think a remix should use the original tune as a departure point but be able to be taken as a separate, individual work.

I find your original pieces much more compelling and I think you'll find that folks will be much more willing to check out and comment on your original tracks.

I pretty much agree with MinasTirithGuard.

Your version doesn't go anywhere really. It doesnt have a build up like the original. If anything, I would of used your outro breaks/pads and created something totally different with it. You have taken the main lick and just repeated it, maybe mash it up instead.
