the kick u have used i think could have more body, more character is a bit simple to me (ie use a couple layers) - its loud enough just could do with more imo
melodies i like! combination of pads and synth are doing the job mate - nice work
overall beat could do with more movement, more shuffles (as opposed to just the hats)
arrangement is ok, could use more elements to help the transitions flow better, more fx etc
really like the ideas on this one mate, think u could execute them better tho
I think it sounds "not evil" because you mainly use static samples for your bass and synth;
And also very important:
Your melodies: If you would play them on whatever instrument, it would sound atmospheric and relaxing, definetly not agressive or evil. Try to find some agressive melodies by playing your instrument with a keyboard for example till you got some grimey melodies which sound always evil, independent of the patch you are using...
If I were you I'd throw in some more automated filtering and distortion on your lead and bass. (well in fact, i'd not use samples, but a synth, which gives you more control of the sound/waves)
for example: make a few varying loops of your bass, while you modulate the cutoff frequency of your filter, bounce and sequence these, same for your synths and beat. (or use "real" synths (soft- or hardware) which you automate)
If you listen to that beat, be honest: this doesn't sound evil, it sounds nice 'n "liquid"; just put some more work in it till you have a crunchy, distorted evil sound. Also use Layering and ghosts (same for those pads, they're a bit to cheesey) Or craft your own drums with a (drum)synth.
once you've created all your sounds right, it's much easier to make it sound "evil": cause all of the elements you put into your tune will already sound like that. Combine it with some grimey melodies and there you have your "evil" tune, once sequenced
Cheerz and welcome!

Sounds great, maybe a bit rough edged, but I like it. It's not Spor and the likes, it is rather liquid, but that's fine with me.
Drums could roll more, add some rides.
The whole thing sounds very dry, a tad reverb and a tad compression on the master could do miracles here. Also some warmth on the master would be welcome.
Just keep doing nice tracks like this one and you'll find your own style pretty soon.

Too many samples for my liking. It gives the whole tune a very disjointed feel. Having said that tho, it's still fairly well put together and the melodies are really nice. If this is anything to go by, you certainly have a good ear for what sounds good and what doesn't.
Beats are nicely EQed too. They have a cool rough edge to them which gives them a lovely texture.
Structure needs some work I reckon because this could and should be a proper dance floor tune. At the mo, it's stops and starts too often. Needs a bigger and longer drop section. But that's a minor gripe really.
Overall, a cool tune.

This is drum n bass website mate... we expect this kind of tune.

Cheers for all the feedbak from all of ya. helps a lot aye.
I wasn't exactly intending this song to be like Spor or The Upbeats, I just like chucking ideas I get out of my head straight on my DAW. Simply just playing around using different production techniques as a complete novice.
I think the structure will come with time and experience....I get a bit lazy and rush things.
I havn't exactly concentrated much on the breaks much in this song as this was/ and obviously sounds like a rush job to most of you more experienced producers.
I have a track which I have been workin on for a bit now I'm sure you'll find a little bit more variation in my breaks, beats and basslines. Having problems EQing this one so left it to go over it some more before posting it. Thanks for listening.

the new tune u posted I liked better...duno guess its taste...but this aint half bad...could use some tweaks here and there sound clarity and atmosphere...those are my first emotions...that haa choir starts to get annoying for me after a few listens...other than that, nice track...except for the hats...they sound a little weird to me...
oh and the track takes a too sudden turn at 0:41 imo, when it comes to sudden I take the cake...
think the drums could use more prominant layers, a harder kick and snare for example, bass is quite nice and warm....drums lack edge and energy, sound a bit flat, could use more variations too....lol..a bit different from spor...some of the bass movements towards the end sound a bit spor like, jus need to be grittied up a lot more...mixdown is quite clear, jus think the drums really need more percussion and layers....not a bad tune tho overall.
