hi Bruce!
mate u gotta get onto Reason 4!! do it! lol
right quite slow, bouncey number here beat needs more groove get some breaks layered in there to get it rollin, more movement. kick n snare need to really punch thru more boost em
cool ideas man, yeah i noticed its quite a dry tune in terms of....verb
so my only other main suggestion would be to get more texture to that reece stab bass synth sound just to get more presence in there
nice stuff overall - nice to hear sumthin from ya after sooo long! :bigp:
edit - snare needs more snap more high end so it cuts thru the mix better

I actually didn't listen to it yet... so here's your review!
Intro is interesting, some cool shuffle to it.
I think that the bass is way too wide and just doesn't do it for me- it's a little too plain for compared to the other interesting things happening in the track. It overwhelms the mix a bit.
Beats work, I like the little vocal chop.
Could use a little reverb on the mids/highs but I would apply it sparingly.
Tune is a bit repetitive but I really like the ideas behind it.
I will chuck a bit of verb in. Just a touch mind
I don't want any more death threat from Tomos
The bass isn't really right. I need to work on it and come up with something better. I did have a totally different base to it, but I have got influenced by Noisia - Block Control in the last couple of day. I've just discovered who it was by. Might have to seek it down
I havn't brought Reason 4 yet. I was looking into it the other day and was tempted. But... My computer suffers enough from 3, so a computer upgrade is more required. Not doing that either, because I may be leaving NZ soon.
On the reason 4 thing. The shop I called in was selling reason 4 for about $700 or the upgrade for $199. I asked if I could buy the upgrade without the membership card (which I have) and the shop said it was no problem and suggested I find a key on the net
Not to sure how propellerheads would feel about that!

Well, it appears my threat of a hate campaign against you and your reverb-loving associates must have worked cos this is super dry.
In all seriousness mate, it sounds much, much better. There's lots of clarity now, whereas before (in your previous tune) it was very mushy.
Yeah, the bass is panned a little too wide. It would probably sound much stronger and heavier if it was centred. Basses always do. It's probably a little too distorted as well, like Battle mentioned. A bit of extra melody would work really nicely on the bass.
The other melodic elements are really good. They have a nice flow to them and I can hear traces of early dnb influences there.
Beats are decent enough. A little more oophm would be nice but you're on the right track with them.
Cool stuff so far captain.
