hi there Smile kick n snare are nice i would prefer to hear em punchier but thats taste Big Grin

once it drops i think u definately need more layers on the beat to make it roll, get some hi passed breaks in there to give it more movement as its a bit robotic with just kick snare and the hihats

cool ideas on the bass, i don't hear any sub in there? simple sine wave underneath the synth bass would suffice (maybe u have one just turned down really low?) so in that sense i would suggest to get more low end in there

some more fx would help keep the arrangement more interesting Wink nice ideas overall mate Big Grin

Good start!Big Grin i'm not sure about the kick but as Ketz said, it's all taste. But maybe you should think about layering or EQ'ing your kick. The kick build is a bit annoying. The rest the best definetaly needs layering. The snare in particular is very weak and needs some oomph. Like ketz said you need some break or something to fill it out. Check the chase and status video tute in the production questions and answers forum. Bass is nice but sounds to raw and has no sub. Try adding some sub and mess around with some effects and distortion to see if you can improve the sound.

You have somee really auite amazing and intricate programming goin on but you can't hear them becuae the mix is off. Work on your levels and make sure you can hear each part as well as you should. EQ the bass a bit so it doesn't take so much space. Outro really shows of your promgramming. i like it, but it would sound better with better layered and EQ'd beats.

REALLY good work to start with, needs some work. Definetaly work on this! Big Grin

Kick and snare are ok, but their pattern is very robotic. Those bleeping sounds in the intro sound super dry and those pads sound dripping wet which gives it a weird layered feel. Main bass is to grinding. Make shorter tracks! Drums at the end are pretty much ok (to much distortion).

Those beats are a bit stiff mate. Need some ghosts in it.

Must admit, I do like the pads.

Not sure what to say about this really. Sounds like the track to some mental nightmare of a xbox game. Very strange, don't mean that in a nasty way Big Grin

Wow, this is one bad trip of a song!
I mean that in a good way, some of it scares the shit outta me, lol
Some really original ideas here man, smooth the bass out a touch though.
A few elements fighting with each other here, add a break or something to keep the track going as the beats are starting to annoy me a little (3:25)
Mad, mad track - gets insane at the end!
It is a wee bit long I have to say, though.
Keep workin on this one mate!

hi mate,

well its better than your last one anyway.

drums are pretty weak still, your kik and snare have no WHACK in them, you also could do with some live crashy breaks in there. your bass needs workin on aswell try adding a couple more layers in with it. if i was you id work on your drums for a few weeks, keep comparing to a pro track and try and really listen to what makes them pro's sound so good

what software are you using btw??

i started on acid Big Grin

acid pro that is, but now im usin cubase sx3 also. its the shit man!!!!!

i tryed FL and reason but hated the interface.

and ive been learning cubase for about a year now and still find summit new every week.

yeah that chase and status vid really helped me understand drum layering, its hard to get what people mean when they are just typing, so vids really are a life saver for me. infact i think some of the more experienced ones in here should make some tutorial vids for us to learn from, wot ya reckon.

tel me bout it- literally evry tune i make i learn summin new. i personally like the fruity loops layout-once u no wot your doing on it you can fly thru things so fast because of its simplicity-would defo recomend it to anyone just startin out. but obviously since goin to cubase thers no going bak- i fukin luv it, everythin is just that bit better(well, a lot better)-my only trouble is that me computers shit so can only have between 4 n 6 vst's open-realy fuks me off- but hopefully will get new one soon!

av u got ne traks on ere mate cus cant seem 2 find nun?!
if ye wot called?
