Please check out my new track 'Techy Preview' and post your comments here!

so yeah, i recently lost all my sample packs and projects... really pissed me off.
i stopped producing for a while, but a couple days ago i downloaded a few sample packs, the result is this preview here.
anyway, i wanted to try something techy, but not too dark. hopefully you guys can write a couple of words about this preview...

Drums sound thin, especially the kick and the snare. Don't know where you want to take the tune. It starts like something very aggressive but then it gets really melodic.

I agree with Battle Drone, beat needs some work and the the purpose of the track is a bit confusing. The start effects and bass are really cool, made me think i was about to hear some audio style stuff. Then the reece came in (out of nowhere btw, don't always need a build, but it sounded a bit random) and it got to melodious. The snare especially need to be rethought, gets quite annoying.

BUT i LOVE the start. ALOT!!! you clearly have skill, i would say you need to work on the mix a bit to after the drop, once you have introduced all the layers to the piece, you can't hear some things that are neccessary to hear.

I think the snare needs a *little* more punch to it and the kick needs a little depth - sounds a little flat. Apart from that the drums work for me.
Although the reece is a little random it does sound really good. The melodious part is wicked too, I'm just not sure if they go together.
For me, its a bit like two separate tracks as it seems a little disjointed at the moment.
Great feel overall though.
