Please check out my new track 'Why' and post your comments here!
I've been away for a while. A lot happened and I didn't have much time left for producing, so neither to give a lot of reviews. sorry for that but I'll do some reviews a soon as possible.
This is a preview. I made the drums in FL, mixed them down in cubase, reimported them in fruity loops' slicex, layered them again, and so on and so on... . The synth are a combination of massive and z3ta+. The whole song is composed in FL and as soon as the song is ready, i'll mix it down in cubase.
Let me know what you think of it. Tried to make some heavy neurofunk-style drum 'n bass with this one.
It started out brilliantly and I thought the tune was gonna explode into thumping neuro-funk heaviness... but it didn't. There isn't enough depth to it. The bass and kick seem very thin and much too compressed. The scratchy sounds are panned too wide too and they don't gel well. It sounds like they are doing their own thing.
The bassline itself tho is fucking wicked and the beat programming is top notch. Seriously good, this is my kind of heavy dnb.
I just wish the bass and depth was there! Cos this tune could be massive.
If you are interested, I would be willing to have a bash at tweaking the sounds in FL and pumping some more beef into it. I use FL7 btw. Hit me up with a PM if you're up for it.

nice intro! drums are well arranged and bass sounds lush....sounds nice when the sub comes in....drums need a snappier snar to really cut through the mix, kick could use a little boosting too, sub is nice, mid-range bass could use a little more grit....this tune has got potential to be a real smnasher, grit that bass up, make the drums really snappy and frantic and this would have real potential....needs some sort of intro and theme aswell to build up to the drop and back away from it....real potential tho, good stuff man!
