cubase dosnt do a very good job of exporting mp3, dont know if it was summit i did or didnt do but they sounded like crap. i just use lame now
yeah man I suppose so, what version of Cubase are you running at the mo? I was on Cubase SL (lol prehistoric) only up until a few months back upgraded to SX3....still gotta start using it properly I only use it in the same way most peeps use progs like Soundforge and Wavelab (audio editing, i normally chop bits up etc etc), VSTs would give me a LOT more flexibilty than my current set up, but in some ways I find it easier to deal with just 1 DAW and try n learn it inside out
i use sx3, its the the only daw i use. i make my drums in audio most of the time and its just great for that. i tryed reason and FL although they did sound great, none of them felt as good cubase

I add it to the master, as well on bass (gives nice analog warmth) and some other instruments (sometimes on filtered voice). But you mustn't overdo it.
