Also try braindead, also known as dead alive. Dunno where you are from but at least in Germany it’s forbidden cause of too much violence and shizzle.
the movie is kinda old you shouldn’t expect too much effect wise. Most things shown are simply ridiculous… and as the story sucks it’s only worth watching when you laugh about it^^

Try looking for some of the original J-Horrors like The Ring 1, 2 etc ...
The original Japanese versions really freaked me out.
Don't bother with american remakes they always change the story too much and go way overboard until the film is just a bloody stereotypical load of oold bollox.
Braindead was good far as I remember for gore. - bit old mind.
Don't forget the old Bruce campbell movies - evil dead methinks. - maybe more comedy but HaHa.
Just look for Quentin Tarantino movies he usually makes them bloody messy !

Ebola syndrome - sick story and some pretty fucked up scenes. not really scary but you said psysically sick
I recently watched Seed which is an absolute bore but it contains one scene involving a hammer and its sheer sick brutality resembling the club fight scene in Irreversible in a way. but ONLY the festival uncut version cause the other censored version doesnt contain that scene.
