I have not written music in ages, this is a track I have put about 4 hours work into so far. Needs some more effeects going on but the basic idea is there, after any constructive feedback whatsoever, love it or hate it. Made on Reason rewired to Cubase with samples obtained from this site as well as some softsynths (Legacy Cell, V-Station).
Nice atmos in the intro, could be more so for me, extra layers fx etc
Bass work after the drop is good, nice variations of sounds. Might change that high hat sound for something a bit dirtier?? it sounds a little out of place to me
Is that a "Hallelujah" sample???
Like the section with the pads after the first "I feel it" but structure wise it seems a little disjointed.
Drums could use a break for percussion fulness, snare could do with a bit of extra punch. It's al a bit robotic, but I know where you are going, the bass sounds need to connect more to give it that bit of extra flow that is missing right now. The pads from 2:24 and on are nice, but they could be a more upfront. Howlin' wolf is good. 3:10 and on changes it from dark funk into melodic stuff, not sure if this is the right direction for a tune that starts as darkstep.

I like this tune and the beginning pads and entrance, but i was waiting for the tune to change up a little a bit(breaks wise). I personally would drop a little amen break amongst the parts where the tune does change to give it a little edge.... nice tune though.... reason is the one 4 real : ,

defo could layer up some more fx in there really to build it up
when it drops sounds like it has a lot of potential to be one of those broken up dark tunes haha nice variety of basses, could all be tidied up and gelled together more like the guys have said. layer the beat up more get some more prominent shuffles

thanks for checkin it out guys, lotsa work to do, will defo layer up the intro and will work the drums some more. I do find it difficult to get the drum sound i am after, that "fullness" with "swing", i only hand sequence all drum parts and may need to layer up with some sampled loops or something to get the sound I am after. So cheers guys, hopefully get a finished version up soon and hope to review some tracks as soon as I get near a fast enough internet connection.
The basic idea is definitely there. I really like what you've done so far. The whole thing just needs filling out a bit. Like the others have said, the beats are a bit too robotic and a tad flat. Also, I'm not too keen on the high-pitched synth towards the end. Everything else is cool tho. Good shit.

Gotta love that intro, that bass is nice how it comes into the track. Hihat is notthing for me i guess.The break is goodd, but not heavy enough i think.
