Personally i would layer up some high fx or higher crashes on that snare!! Especially because its half step, Beef up that snare hit!! Also good use of groove templates to delay that snare abit and just add weight to it! The bass i think is a little too resonant, a feww more mids would sound laaarvely, and just generally more weight. But the idea is quite forward, and with work wouldnt go unoticed. Not enough for me to fairly pass any more comments on tho. Likin the bass sounds themselves but the melody is a bit simple but then again its in its early stages. Very heavy feel, lots of groove and head-banging beats. However, on the EQ side of things, the bass frequencies are too dominant and the snare is a little thin. Sounds a bit muddled to me. You need to think about increasing your mids too to give the whole thing some bite.
