Please check out my new track 'The Unwanted (2008 Version)' and post your comments here!

Hi ppl. I´ve been searching for this project for a looong time. Week ago I found a DVD with some stuff from my older laptop. I searched the files and then I saw it...the unwanted...flp file...OMG...went straight on it. Found all the samples and started reworking...heres the 2008 version, much better quality then the previous one. Enjoy

the previous version (almost 1 year old): http://www.drumnbass.be/vote.html?id=2826&d=1

Wow That Gritty Ass Slimey Monster crawling in and out of those drums sound really good. Also The vibes of it man, I love it when you hear an emotional track like that, that also stays hard hitting and mean. Its a Work of Art Man well done. I Noticed a few samples in there that i have used myself in the past, is it only reason that you use or do you rewire, If you could get back to me on that id really appreciate it ( Kid_Prodigy@hotmail.co.uk ). Constructively i think the drums could do with phattening maybe a lower kik with a bit more room, and slam a 909 over the snare for some high end. Upon doing that you may be able to prize a nice sidechain effect with the reece. (Filters Within Filters). Overall 9/10.

Hey, cheers for review. Not using Reason...no rewireing, maybe it was sampled, what sample do you mean btw.

edit: I use only Fruity loops 7

nice, me likes it. Lot of energy in this track. Cannot give ya a technical review as I'm not on my studio headphones, but I can see your audio quality is great. Maybe the kick is a bit louder than it should be, but is still ok.

Nice technique. Like the orchestra strings Big Grin

this tune is pure class....intro fantastic, that bass is just pure filth, love it to pieces.....maybe a little more sub would give it a bit more impact, warm up the low-end a bit...the bass work is just brilliant.....2:13 the old japanese style flute and instruments...really nice, stick with that i reckon instead of the half-step section....overall mix is pretty phat, kick and snare nice and punchy...drums roll really nice, nice little edits throughout keep em interesting....structure is good, lots of changes and different sounds, great stuff...awesome tune overall...the bass stands out as the best element for me but the rest is pretty damn good too, would love to remix this one man....sweet tune!!

Fuck, this is good mate. Best thing I've heard on here for quite a while. Those string melodies are absolutely sweet. The bassline fits perfectly too. Love the beats but I'd turn them up a notch. They are a little weak atm because they don't puch through enough. Apart from that, this is spot-on I reckon. Well done! Big Grin Bigup

The intro is brilliant mate. The orchastral sounds work great. How you manged to phase the grimey phased noise into it i do not no. Amazing choice of sounds. Your drums are brilliant mate however, i feel you need more variation of the hat loops. taking out doubling up kicks snares etc is good and is beat varying however i feel you need to add more variation on the hats. All in all excellent choice of sounds, excellent mastering and skillfull use of filters phasers limiters. The only other thing i would say is a more violent bass drum, cutting through at 100hz low pass (if not already.....) Top stuff as ever mate.

I like the dark bouncy rollin vibe. You should get your kik and snare to cut through a bit more.
