The bell sound is not bad, melody is ok, too but you should add maybe another synth to keep the listeners attention. Or maybe if the bell type of sound is synthesized, play with the filter of it.

Kick sounds good & punchy, snare a bit weird (rockish in a way). Layer another one underneath it that has more highs in it.
Drums in general need to be fuller. Your shaker/ tambourine thingy didn’t do the job for me. Add some cymbals or even another break and work on some more variation (reversing/different programming/half speed….).

The bassline is a evil bitch! Really digging it. Good movement and shit!

Maybe figure out a way to have your bells playing with the bassline together to let the tune itself appear more like one piece except of two (bassline + drums/ bells….bassline…bells).
Or simply keep going your drums, reintroduce your bells and switch to a more neutral sub bass at the same time.

Good start so far, keep working.

very good track. i think the intro is nice but maybe a little bare. i think a melodie or some other cool techy samples might go down well. i love a bassline, something i would like to learn how to create. the drums sound good but maybe need to sound a little quicker, more snares or hats. that could just be me, i like fast n complex beats. i like how the drums roll just before the mixing points, very professional. nice sounding track too well spaced out and doesnt clash with other sounds. i guess alot of feedback depends on the sort of track you are trying to produce, this might be one of the hardest tracks you have as you like chilled out but to me it sounds like a good intro track of a mix cd, not too heavy but heavy enough to get the croud wanting more.
keep up the great work!!!

I was skeptical at first and then the bass kicked in. I think I have that bass drum in my collection and I overused it to the point that I hate it Happy

Drums could use a little more presence - especially the snare.

The pads in the breakdown are nice and the track has a neat flavor. Keep working on it, you've got a killer bass line there. Reminds me of Distorted Minds - i.e. repetitive, nasty bass, cool airy breakdownss - great track for mixing.

one idea, play that metalic pad over the bassline, and add a shorter more stacatto bass as a filler on top of the other.

thanks for the replies!

this is not a tune, but just some loops that i'll be using for the definitive version,

i'm working on it, and i wanted some ideas concerning structure and details...

which i got!

thx for that!

expect the tune finished in a few weeks! (IF i upload, not sure yet, i'm a bit afraid of people sampling/stealing my homegrown, hard-work patches and samples) (correct me if I am seeing ghosts, or excuse me for being paranoïd, I really put a lot of work in (learning) making basslines (talking 'bout years..) )

about the bassline:

built it myself from scratch, no samples or "cheap" production techniques involved! Wink

(i admit i never had one that was that good, I think i found the honeypot now... (Finally, yes!!!!) :p )

Whatever...

Cheerz and thx for the detailed reviews, I'll definitly apply some of them!

yeah, this is usefull to me:

i grouped bd-sn into one group and focused everything on the bd, and also i forgot my monitors eq curve to set on this range when making my drumloop...

these to elements give that result i guess...

i'll group the snare seperatly before routing into a common group, and recurve my monitors.

thx man!
