Please check out my new track 'Basstronika' and post your comments here!
I know that I had a rocky start here, Now I understand more about making dnb, because of this site. Anyway, I spent a long time on this one. Every patch is original or greatly tweaked. Let me know how I can improve this.
It's quite an improvement over your previous tunes.
sounds like synthpop rather than DnB to me.
It needs subbass, punchier drums, dirtyness. It's so middle-of-the-road now.
DnB is not about this kind of ongoing melodies, it's about groove and uproaring rhythms rather than playing chords. Your tune doesn't "touch" me.
A groove can be created by playing bass stabs rather than bassnotes that make one continuous sound.
Those drums need to smack you you in the face, especialy the kick and snare need to dominate the sound.
Imagine being on a dancefloor with 100 other people and this tune is being dropped. What would happen? How would the crowd feel about this?
Give some links to tunes you like and I'll tell you what makes them better (in a strict DnB way) than your tune.
What Soft did you use to make this tune?
You are on the road to success when you continue to work hard and improve.
