Hey,

youve seen visualization around that moves to the beat of a song. How do you make such visualization, or what is the technique of doing that(that i can look up).

With what programs are visualizations for live sets created? ( is it still adobe premiere/ after effects) for music visuals?

Most VJ software supports this kind of functions:

some of the best known programs to do this are:

Resolume
Arkaos

I also found some free ones when googling:

BeatHarness

Jahshaka is a more general video editor, but can also be used as VJ tool and is completely open source.

Just google "VJ software" and you will find many more.

I have experimented with Arkaos for a while, and it is quite good, but it focusses too much on use with a midi keyboard in my opinion, sets always need a lot of preparation (VJ sets alwasy do actually) and I find it not so easy to do realtime changes to a video effect.
