When something sounds 'dry' it does not have enough reverb. When it has too much reverb it sounds too 'wet'. FYI __ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name. Dry is as he said could be an unprocessed preset or sample whatever. I think he means for you to layer more sounds, fx, reverb etc ... Process them to give them more life & more variation is always good. Add more elements to the overall mix.
