Please check out my new track 'Equal Rights' and post your comments here!
OK Peeps. Here is the finished version. U liked the first drop?...you gonna love the second one. LOL. Put a LOT of work into this track so I hope u will like is as much as I do. The second drop is a bit darker. Inspired by Raiden´s set on Let it Roll party where I was this weekend. This party gave me a lot of inspiration into my future work so expect more darker stuff from me. Cheers

wow, thats pretty diffrent you deff get big ups 4 bein original, i like the second drop much better lovely build everythin bout it is spot on all the sounds in the seconds drop or so interessting and abstact but still musical and sounds good.
i liked the intro at first but u kind of lack a deffinate drop.
thes a bass reese in there that i think cud be a bit warmer
u sed u put a lot of work in2 this 1 it shows
i like 2 know a bit bout wat went in2 puttin this 1 2 gether wat did u use how did proccess the drums sounds like a sliced loop with layed samps not many but they sound great.
also what have u done in the way of mastering
soz not much of a review cos theres little 2 review it sounds like a well produced and compleatly finished profesional piece .

Drums sound nice;like the sweeping lead.has a nice rollin vibe with a nice dark edge to it.The olny thing is that the Bass is not cutting thru enough.
Fix that and u got a pretty nice track.

First of I am using FL7.
OK man, I will try to explain some things for u. I used just 2 samples for my kick drum, one more warmer sample where I cut the lows (< 80Hz) and one my "home-made" sample which has a nice punchy sound. Then I was almost ready with kicks cos it sounded OK. I just put them both on the mixer and I played with the levels. Thats it, pretty basic thing, nothing special I think. Snare drum is an amen snare layered with high pitched live recorded snare which gives it a nice snappy sound. I put a really slight reverb on them so it has a roomy feel. Then I pumped them at 300Hz. Thats it. Drums r also layered with all kind of fills - bongos, shakers oh and theres another break running underneath which has nice cymbals in it. Well thats for the drums I think
The reece sound. It was kinda experimenting at first. I found a nice reece sound, distorted it, put a PSP vintage warmer on it (great vst, u can achieve interesting results with it, u can pump different frequencies and drive the overal sound to the max), put an EQ on it (pumped the highs and mids) and then I put a filter (lowpass) on it and then again a vintage warmer. As i said it was just experimenting but the sound was pretty unique. Then what I did was I created an automation of the cutoff freq of the filter. And then again...experimenting.
Mastering. Good thing is to put as much samples on the mixer as possible. That means almost every sample. Or at least link the similar sounding samples to one chanel and the rest to others. Mastering is all about your ears. So there is no proper guide how to master a track. U gotta feel it. So I spent last 2 days on remastering this track. Then in the end I put a multiband compressor on the main chanel.
I hope this helps! Cheers for reviews guys...I have an updated version on MYspace profile.
