Pretty good mixdown apart from the bass drum, i think it needs a little more smack to stand out in the mix against that basslne. Seems a little long winded and repetative. Maybe a little more melody in it, a hook or summat... ? s'up to u tho. Expand upon it more but one afternoons work.. sweet

Drums and strings sound really oldskool (like that).
Some badly distorted part from 0:33 should be fixed, it is an ear killer and suggests hardstep comming up. Main part sounds nice, maybe a bit empty. Still some leads/basses sound clipping like hell, lower their levels and use some compression if needed. The padding distorted synth in the second half doesn't add anything positive for me, keep it more centered and less distorted. Vocals could add a nice touch, but don't overdo it. Some Reggea/dub/ragga vocals would do good on this style.

I think this track is a litle bit quiet.
So i think your idea of puting some vocals could work.
