I started working on this track about a week ago. Its a preview of a first drop. Still needs a lot of work but I am pleased with it. Any tips on how to improve this part are welcomed.
Hey this is a wicked start for a weeks work! will be interested to hear how this sounds when you put it up completed.
The drums are punchy and comes through nicely on the mix and and you've got an interesting bass-line going on thats builds tension nicely at the beginning. Its a great track and all i can suggest is to just stick with it and see what happens.
Sick punchy drums, nice! The building up in this song is great, it starts off quite aggressively but works itself into a nice mix of sounds. Not much more I can say on this without hearing the finished product, you've got the mixdown pretty much spot on and the sounds all work nicely together, especially that trumpet sounding instrument, and the waka waka in the background.. gives it a little funk
Lets see how you work the breakdowns! Can't wait to hear this one finished.
ooo i like this the drums are PHAT and the track is dark. i would love to know how u make that reecey risey sound lol improvement ... this is very old skool early 90"s how ever improvement could be a fatter more modern bassline and for it too turn perhaps a bit darker and modern because that would be a nice take a breakdown half way threw ? or for the drums too evolve a little after a minute by adding a couple of different drums. i really like the saxo style melody u could have a nice complex melody that goes down threw the octaves and then into a dirty bassline who knows its ur choice its hard to say things when u like a track which i do keep goin and i will defs be listening to this one when its finished -- candida
__ who ever said you shouldnt play with fire obviously cant spin
Think its an overall good melodic sounds, the best humble suggestion would be to mix the bass louder and give it some more sub bass. Nice change in the middle. Peace,

A strange mix of styles here, but most of them work well together I reckon. I love those beats but, imo, there's too much compression on them. And there's too much attack on them, it makes them sound unnatural and too snappy. Personal pref of course. Otherwise, this is a very nice start. Those filtered basslines are fucking sick mate. Love 'em.
