Not bad but the mix is lacking presence, especially the beats. I can't hear a kick at all and the snare is very thin. The tune starts off with some promise but once the distorted bassline kicks in it kinda goes downhill for me. The melodies clash with the other atmospheric bell-sounding melodies, imo. They don't mix well, they are trying to do different things. I much prefer the softer stuff in this tune. If this was my tune, I'd probably ditch the distorted synths and concentrate on the atmospheric stuff.

i agree with tomos. the beats are very thin almost to the point where its not really drum and bass anymore , and the tune really does get confused when the distorted bass kicks in.
once you get some good rhythms layed out there are some useful articles on EQ'ing and mastering which can make your drums much more powerful.
this is better than i can do but im writing a review because i want producer rites. I will start with the main melody perhaps it could evolve or have filters laid over it more effected to make it more interesting. the percussion is gd keeps the whole track moving and this track would definetly be a flop without it (no insult intended). the drums are pretty basic however if minimal is what u were looking for (and i dont know what ur aims where) than there good however if tech is what u were looking for then they need alot of improvement. perhaps implementation of a ghost snare could beef the drums out a little bit not so much but just fill in or effect it to fill in the gaps reverb or delay ? another thing that needs improving (and this is where i fall short mainly) is that it needs more movement and change to keep people interested by the time i have written this report im already fealing very bored of that melody. Beefier bassline powerfull reece would be nice. points i do like are the vocals the snare roll and the rises. however they could have been used more effectivly. in no way am i saying im a great producer and please do not be offended by what i have written here and dont hold grudges you have got potential perhaps u dont take enough time listening to ur tunes and thinking ... how can i make this better thanx for giving me the track to report on thanx -- candida
