Please check out my new track 'The Power Of Zod' and post your comments here!
sorry i havnt reviewd in a while, done a few tday and will do a few more tmore, tis a bit late now.
bin working on this jump up track for a few days, ive tried a couple of new techniques on bass such as creating my own samples and using the exs24 in logic to write the riff, seems to give a fuller sound compared to running a sound strait from a synth.
Nice swinging feel. All the variations are nice, the track really moves along nicely. I didn't get bored at all.
This so reminds my of a Fresh track, probably could have made onto Escape from Planet Monday.
One thing, I like the drums overall, but I feel like the snare could have a little more presence, maybe layer a longer snare under it? Its late though that might just be me.
Agree with Leonces' comments. Cool jump up vibes. The snare definitely needs more presence tho like Leo said. Also, there seems to be a lack of low frequencies here. A tune like this deffo needs a big sub, but I can't really hear any.
Cool melodies. Kept me interested throughout. The structure is solid and there's some nice edits and build ups too.
Good stuff, enjoyed.

Oh the jump up-ness!! haha yeah im feeling some aspects of this track, The wobbles are very nicely done, with that call and response theme running through it.. nice! I think one thing I don't like about jump is the lead lines, very basic, this is how I feel about the lead line in this tune. Don't get me wrong mate, it's captured jump up in all flavours but it just aint to my taste.. The drums are a little basic aswell, maybe cut the lows on the kick a bit and tighten up the top end of it.. bring out the click of the beater a tad more. The snare is a good snare to use for a toppy snare. It does need another underneath it tho, with a bit more doumph, if you know what i mean! Nice production skills tho.
nice work samples r good and used well wicked bass sounds this track is crying out for the drums to be re-worked it almost rolls big time i think u drums jus let u down the snare is a bit thin and u need a bit of variation some gost snare bizzness
cheers for all the feedback guys, ill get to work on those beats this week and should be able to post the finished version soon. after listening back the snare does need a bit punch like, tis jus kinda snapping around up top sum where at the mo.
