I just listened to the start of "release the pressure" again for the first time in about a year... Damn that intro gives me chills! Back to business, Pads. Which version of logic have you got? If its 7 or 8, the Sculpture synth is amazing for making those luscious pad sounds. It does take a lot of work to get your head round but once you've cracked it... sweet. Get a bassy tone, crank up the sustain. Layer that with a more midrange tone and then duplicate it lower the attack and hi pass it... you should be on your way. If you do use sculpture, layer a tone with a "wood" setting on top for a pad lead style sound. Reverb. Delay and chorus... world = your oyster.
