yeah most government policies are hypocritical by legalising alcohol but making marjiuana illegal, alcohol is just as (if not more) damaging esp physically!
i never produced on pills, but did it coked up once me and a mate recorded us actually snorting thru the mic, safe to say the tune had loads of energy - but was a load of CRAP!!!! lol
that is very true but alcohol has been part of the uks culture for many hundreds of years and if they ever tried to ban it they'd have a massive uproar on their hands
and most people that no nothing about drugs probably think that there is nothing wrong with booze and that weed is the biggest evil in the world

Idont smoke no more, cant cos of 2 main reasons:
1) My beautiful Mrs (she hates drugs..)
2) My Job, its safety critical..
I miss the ganja alot though, dont produce dnb anymore

The days of listening to a loop 100 times in a row and every time it sounds different have gone and i miss them, but with that brings new joys, challenges and the next stage of my life.
As much as i enjoyed the high, i would'nt want to be smoking it all my life..
Also some people have more addictive personalities than others, with me the weed might've well been smack,. i was on it almost 24/7 and would've done anything including selling my gran to the chron just for a high, my fl, and a box of smokes..

i have an addictive personality too but i've been really good lately and stayed off pretty much most things bar a little smoke after work - but i even cut that down!

yeh a lot of great music has been made under the influence, suppose it can help for creative purposes, track writing, melody construction but drugs definietly dont help with mixing, structure and all the technical stuff.....beethoven, bob marley etc might have been flying high when they created some of there greatest pieces, but your always gonna need a clear head (or sum1 else with a clear head) to clarify your ideas and 'present' them (i.e. with a good, clear, strong mixdown/ master). a bit of the ol' green might help for writing, but the sicence of producing, defo not....
