I think Ketz is a damn awesome producer name... I wouldn't change it if I were you.
But yeah, I really have no idea where mine came from... Prolly I was just juggling with cool sounding english words.
StrongBads philosophy that to make a cool band name you just take a regular word and spell it wrong.
so i took one that has mocking reference to commercialism, common day place recognizably, and would be unique if it were to be googled of course. then i spelt it with a ph like the children do. the hyphen just cuz most websites need it to be one word. in hind sight i should have just made it one word like my XBOX tag halphprice.
my actual name is Clifford which i like to use in online gaming more, but in music, it just sounds like a clown.
also my music has a lo-fi sound, always loved lo-fi. so it kinda works there too, but it doesn't genere stick me. not if it was something like BLOODY CORPSES. I tried a bunch of names . . . this one is the one that stuck, that's a good way to choose, just picka bunch whatever you like in a week. I also wanted to be Rocket Monster King. I think that's the best alias EVER.
I remember when Paracite had a panic attack about his name alrady in use, we tried to help him by spelling a cmmon word Wrong. thus fulfilling the requirments for "band name".

@ Halph - pretty deep stuff man! nice to know theres some meaning behind it, i actually always thought or ur name along the commercialism idea as i used to work supplying retailers for years and the ol promo jargon used to pop up very often

that's the thing when you see a store or promo that says half price, it's also this subverting there meaning. i always loved double meaning band names, why i love teh idea to pick a word and spell it wrong. like every time i eat corn i start singing Follow the Leader.
i mean Ghosts and Dr.Dre album The Chronic always will remind me of something else... more then when i see the word Ketz again.
