wierd question but can anyone think of a film or tv programme that i could sample a section from where time is being talked about? i tried to find an audio version of stephen hawkings a brief history of time but couldn't find one....can anyone think of anything...a qoute about time, time running out, being against time etc.

do you have a microphone of some description?

If so find a poem or speach about time that you like and speaj it yourself?

Or even find one of those online text to speech convertors and put it into that

yeh i could record one myself but nothing sounds better than sampling a professional actor speaking a line with loads of emotion and presence, compared with my mono-tonal west country accent, it wud jus sound crap.

nice idea about finding a poem about time tho, mite have a search and get sum1 else to record it....

You could look at youtube (or wherever in the net) for that specific speech you think of and record your internal audio to get the sample.

Or for more quality…there are ways to download youtube content. If you get the audio from the downloaded version the quality might have increased a lot.

I have to presume that this is not really legal but as your using stuff for a nice new tune I think it’s ethical. xD

Or in case you found some poem and want to record it a synthetic but close to sound real voice try this:

Does not only work for one language and sounds pretty authentic. Use the demo version, type in the words and record internal audio (or buy the software if you got the money).

Dr Who ofcourse!? loadsa stuff about time travel there...Back to the Future trilogy....i'm sure there may be sumthin in 2001 space odyssey (although that film has been sampled a fair bit, even i did it ages ago)....

try searching through below you might find some ideas from there:

Oh don't forget Donnie Darko - wicked film, I'm sure there's some good samples in there, as they go on about the whole thing in quite a bit of detail (like the theory behind it etc etc) - although if I remember someone on outbreak records sampled the bit where he says "do you beleive in time travel?" but theres loadsa better, deeper and more meaningful ones in there im sure
