Eazy dotbe peeps, I know this is a pretty specific request, couldn't find anything on these forums specific to this (although feel free to point me in the right direction if there is!)
Bassically, I've got loadsa bass samples that are similar to the one used in the classic "Renegade Terrorist" tune, although I can't seem to get anywhere near makin that sound using a synth.
You know the sound im talkin about right? its got a lot of body to it, almost as if its played in a chord but not exactly...theres also a bit of movement in there
Anyways, soz if i come across as stupid but its only recently that i've really been tryin to read up on how to create my own sounds properly using synths (in the past i have tended to use a lot of samples - booo! lol just processed really heavily with loads of effects!)
Ghost will probably know methinks as I have nae fucking clue as to which or what you're baffling on about !
the one i used in Declaration of War - the humming sub bass lol now i sound really dumb as i've just exposed using a sample in me own tunes and wanna learn how to make it!
I got some combi patches if you want (you on version 4??)
Check out mistabishi's producer masterclass from Computer Music magazine a little while back Im sure he mentions something about creating a sound like that
thats all I need, goin back to basics as u know
i'm startin from scratch and teaching my way up the proper way - no more shortcuts! (um well maybe a few lol nudge nudge wink wink!)
will have a look at em and try n work some of my own based on that

The bass sound in terrorist is a reese, sampled from the tune just another chance by kevin reese saunderson. IIRC you don't get a clear bass sound in the track so he used a low pass filter and filtered out all the other sounds until he was left with just the bass.
Alternatively take 2 saw waves, detune and filter them!

interesting! more ideas to play with!
cheers dude (been messin around with my own shite reeces so will give that a go too!)
haaha no worries, my reece is so basic it sounds like it was made in the 70s (before the damn thing existed lol). i guess i'm not lookin to copy the sound outright, could head in that direction and hopefully come up with something of my own with enough experimentation!
point number 16 is the one (its a page with 23 tips on how to make DnB) - I'm sure the more seasoned veterans on here won't find this useful at all, maybe a lil guide for the newbies
