OK, now for the big question you've all been waiting for...
Tea or coffee??
Personally, I'm firmly in the tea camp. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the odd cup of coffee. But that's only after my third or fourth cup of tea and I feel like something different. Otherwise, it's tea all the way. And it has to be strong, perhaps assam, with a little milk and a teaspoon of honey (for any honey-doubters out there, give it a try! It gives your cuppa a rounder taste, without being too sweet). Also, there's preferably a sturdy biscuit on the side, something like a custard cream. But I'm very partial to a piece of cake as well tho. A little chocolate muffin or a bit of ginger cake never hurt anyone.

in case of cold/nasal/guttural problems and abnormalities:
a nice hot tea with freshly scut small slices of ginger, add some/lots of honey and some rhum, and that cold will have left your nose before you can say "Now where's my handkerchief again?"
in case of heat and thirst: ice cold self-made ice-tea
in less extreme situations: citron-tea or standard earl grey, with 1 cube of sugar AND a lil cloud of milk. It's the milk that does it for me really...
in evening / nightly situations: hot tea with a not so-healthy amount of sugar and fresh mint (the leafs)
BUT
in the morning: coffee. Standard. No discussion. But i admit that 5 big cups is, in fact, too much. As an 'experiment'I tried waking up without any coffee for some period, and here i am, a morningly non-coffee-drinking awake person... much to my surprise... edit: two votes up till now!! wohooo, this topic rules!!

tea not so much, unless it comes in a bottle. but I might check out this assam. strong tea sounds pretty good

i used to be firmly in the tea camp - pg tips all the way, real strong and real milky - i never used to take the tea bag out! however - since im in a country which does shit tea (the only tea available anywhere out here is "Royal Milk Tea" which is a load of wank (milk taste strange out ere) mixed with a very slight dunk of a tea bag) i have turned into the coffee crew.
theres so many coffee shops out here and i enjoy nothing more but to go to one, order an ultra creamy, ultra sweet medium strengh coffee - somink like a "Almond Caramel Latte"
, break out the fags and the laptop and get to work making dnb.
yeeeh.
mind u when i get back to blighty ill probly b back on the pg tips.

i used to be a big coffee drinker in my late teens and early 20s, they had a coffee machine at work, just used to have the expresso with hot chocolate mix about 7 times a day (combined with some heavy doses of nicotine!). Although a few bad experiences - eg at uni stayed up studyin all night for an exam, no breakfast (well 1 polo), black coffee = almost failed exam as i felt sick, same for hangovers used to mess me up.
So slowly converted to tea over the last few years, and now i'm 100% tea lover
nowadays just the 1 cuppa in the morning- but its that special time of the day, love it! don't really have biscuits with mine tho
First thing after get up from bed - coffee, no sugar ,milk only.
but...
Never say no to nice cup of tea ,i learn to drink tea with milk since im in uk ,back home we only add sugar or lemon or honey ,also tea+milk back home is known as a "pregnant woman tea" i know ,funny enough but true
I got a "Senseo" machine, very popular in Belgium and Holland but little known elsewhere, basically you pop in a coffee "pad" which is some kind of cloth bag containing ground coffee and a minute later you have a fresh cuppa, good stuff!!
with milk and sugar plx

senseo is big in the mericas as well, never tried it personally but it sounds quick and easy...as opposed to scooping grains and adding water and a filter, complicated shit @ 6 am

If anyone likes a good strong tasty cuppa (...this clearly doesn't apply to Chron
), I'd deffo recommend you pick up a box of Sainbury's Kenyan tea... it's tea-licious!
