A new thing i'm working on atm.
Started out chilly willy but then there was an agressor button and i pushed it ...
http://users.skynet.be/lunatic/Daftsides.ogg
still needs some work (atmospheric, bit work on the bassline, and maybe even a third drop, or do something like part 1 and part 2 ...)
comments very much appreciated

You bastard !!!
I was working on a tune with the exact same 'disco' sample
Anyway, I don't really like you're tune, it sounds a little messy at some points and there's no real flow in the track.
Sorry man!
I used the sample much better

Like the drums in the intro. Takes a lil long before something happens tho. (4 minutes before new elements are added...). So it's got some nice stuff, but should be shorter imo

I think the melody of the later part could use a more powerfull smashing break

Well, altho you layered all those things, it still sounds pretty relaxed most part of the track (ending is indeed a bit rougher) and you should use a more intese break imo

Have listened to this several times now, but find it hard to give an opinion...
First of all the buildup is not good, normally a track should flow really nicely, so even when you listen to it for the first you should be able to predict when changes will occur (eg when drops are about to happen etc) - very important for dancing
The clicky kick drum that is introduced at 1:16 is not really suited for dnb, I like the first one better (though it's maybe the same but filtered?)
The layering is really too much... it sounds very chaotic in the end.
I do like the background sounds and the way you move them around all the time
I guess the buildup is one of the hardest things to get right, Surya and Whizz are masters in this, but I suppose it's hard to explain how to do a great buildup, it probably has to do more with feel than technique.

i can follow your opinion ...
but i think the buildup is a combination of those two ..
i know for myself i feel what i wanna make, but i'm no master at the producing itself ...
i got this whole tune written down, but when i start making it ... it just kind of fails and i try changing stuff ...
i'm gonna look out for someone to work together with, someone with great reason, cubase, logic etc. skills.
Still got too much to learn in too little time (well that's what i want), and i know the fastest way to learn these things is working together with someone who can do it like breathing ... (that's how i got my PC all figured out, aswell as our E-mu sampler ...)
