Not too bad mate. I'm not a huuuge fan of hip hop but I do like some of it. The rapping here is ok but it's too fast for me, it lacks groove. The beats are minimal and cool. They deffo fit the hip hop vibe. I'd love to here a bit more melody in this cos it's lacking a hook at the mo. For me, the best part is definitely the jungle part, I love that old skool junglist vibe.

Hey there,
It sounds like you sped up the vocals up a bit to fit the beat. (If you didn't, mad props to you
)
The speed you're going at sounds almost like a Twista, Slow Jamz groove, but Twista's style was accompanied by a very, very laid back beat.
I think that this track it just moving too fast as a whole. Since DnB often operates at twice the speed of slower hip hop, I think doing some more laid back rap and transitioning into a DnB beat might be more effective.
Like Tomos said, a good hook would really improve this track.
Seems like there's a lot of potential with you and your friend's production and rapping skills, but the execution could be a bit smoother.

pretty well put together, rapping seems too fast tho, doesn't fit that well imo. deffo got an old-school vibe to it, no real chorus either, maybe change things up with a chorus after the verses, add a synth melody and an extra drum layer, something to distinguish it from the rest of the track. drums are a little bare too, another kick and snare layered over the break would beef em up, and maybe a really high-passed break too to add some bright percussion to fill em out a little.
not bad tho.

easy now, been noticing all ur tracks have got that sweet hardware mastering boost, thats what it sounds like to me anyways - do u run ur tunes thru an outboard mixer?
anyways, the tune - have to agree with the tomos on that it needs a hook when ur mate aint rapping over the top. also yeh it sounds a little bit like the rap is too fast for the tune, this could be better as a dubstep imo. anyways theres load of sweet edits here and there on the drums, the production is sweet and everything sounds quality.
peace

I run all my drum/breaks samples and basslines thru my ART tube/digital mic pre and always run a Waves L3 on the master track.
It took me a while to get the sound I was looking for.Mastering is BITCH

I find it easier to mix up the track at a lower volume, then render it as a wav and compress/limit it separately.

I like this but im agree with others that this needs some new elements and more interesting buildup. The rap is fine i think.
Keep on working on it.
