This tune is some kind of pre-alfa version which i have produced while experiencing in sidechain and complex snare. I ll be glad to hear all opinions, especially touching quality and how to improve it. Tune structure is not final yet.
Also this is my first tune since i started producing and installed cubase
good effort for your first production on cubase.
the levels sound well mixed for an early version
that synthy reece line sounds like someone sayin fee fi fo fum at the start.like the filter sweeps on it as well.
now the negatives:you need more variation on the beats and arrangement soundin a bit repetetive but as its an early version you have loads of scope to improve it.some different key changes for a roll out to give the tune some direction rather than having the same 16 bars over and over.try edits on your drums at the end of 16/32 ect to give the beats another angle.and more effects on it so it flows into the next 16/32 seamlessly.overall a good effort keep it up
__ do too many cooks spoil the broth or make more of it?

Thanks for response
. Completely agree about beat variation, I do enjoy interesting beat patterns (i am tech step fan). I'll definitely create different beats when i am sure there are no major bugs in sound.

The drums are not rolly at all before 1:17, kick needs more room to push through (side chain or active EQing). Your snare is too thin, layer some different snares together so you get a fuller sound.
A lot of stuff (like the 2 kinds of choir sounds) are seem to be fighting for room and they are totally pushed away when the snare comes in. Sidechaining is used to help the kick, the snare normally doesn't need it (that much).
Not bad for a first track.

love the ideas on this one, that bass and the background effects sound sweet as - love the way they blend together. yeh that drum - not feeling it but its ur first go on cubase so u get kudos on that one, my first effort on cubase was like a fat man trying to swim in mud. yeh anyways, the snare when it all drops sounds like its compressed to much or somink, would take that off the sidechaining as BD suggested. also - to get more punch from your drums, eq boost the snare around the 200 - 250 hz mark and boost the bass drum round the 100hz mark. tho remember if your going to boost, eq out the same from your other sounds specially with the bass noises.
good stuff this tho, fix and repost!
peace

revel in the crapness of the website and then hit the add button... go on, do it, u know u wanna
cool hihat work in the intro, like the way the reese develops into sumthin darker at around 1:00 nice metamorphosis (sorry been listening to BDs tune lol!) but u know what i mean
when the first actual beat drops i reckon u could possibly do with more drum work around the mid frequencies, although have to say really like that tabla (or is it a conga?) sample
tune needs more of a hook tho imo, that reese you could work so many cooler melodies with that sound man - so definately try n work on sumthin that will make people remember this one by!
