i think it's funny how so many people complain that dnb is too 'repetitive', yet anything with a 4-on-the-floor beat is easily the most repetitive stuff in the world (just from the beats alone)...

ppl hoo say dnb is too repetitive just generally dont know nething about music...
they concentate so much on the basic melodies that they can hear any subtle variations...

Give me DnB, Techno, Progressive, Acid, Electro, and a bit of lounge & chill (for the quiet moments). I also listen a lot to things that can't really be classified (i.e. Aphex Twin made some fucked up shit - but you cant really tell what style it is...) Most of this stuff is pritty alternative, I'm not into commercial shit, although I'm not that extreme anymore as before, now I won't say anything when there's smth I don't like on the radio, except for cases like this
(cool movie - but use earplugs) - and obvious crap (K3, ...

Early Detroit techno does it for me, first records I start buying when I was a kid. (Saunderson, Kosmic Messanger, Atkins,... ).
The loop factor thing that got more prominent with the years made me lose intrest in techno.

Its just that loop thing that did it for me... Old detroit techno just rules..
But I dig deephouse as well... funky love rithmes with a constant but warm beat under it ... I started spinning deephouse before my love for DnB grew this big
If u wanna talk bout repetitive music, I would say, just check ANY (or most) old songs your parent like som much, the only thing changing is the vocal, and sometimes the melody... If u listen REALLY close to it. Drumline is a constant loop, guitar riff is looping etc etc... not so much different from DnB the day it is today...
Just imo off course

I mean Detroit techno had soul. Shivering melody lines, dark and moody at the same time, original used sounds (remember why it's actually called the 'Reese' bass), lots of hooks, etc.
With the loop thing I referred to what techno is nowadays, it only loops from A to Z. While people used to put 5 ideas in a techno tune (Strings Of Life, E-Dancer, Altered States,...), the only thing they put in a techno tune nowadays is exactly one banging loop being filtered to death.
It can be cool for some and it must be cool (how to explain otherwise I Love Techno attracts 35.000 people) but it made me jump off.

started mixin on house, its 4 4 is great 4 learner d.Js.
..hehe,.saying that though its slighter slower then dnB/jungle , so can give a bit more abuse on the beat matchin' , not much though as there isnt usually much 'distraction' in house, i think its quite easy 2 follow/predict that stuff, and almost all house tracks will mix seemless..>> dnb << is definetley more diverse man, c'mon thats why were here
