Hmmm ...

What it´s as simple as that !?

I think maybe you know help on the wobble, the dirty grimey sounds, sfx.
most common used bpm/tempo.

Websites with good samples and tutorials or whatever.

Maybe !?

I wanna try my hand at dubstep too.

I´m currently working on some dirty combinator wobble* patches for Reason mind.

it took me sometime to get the right sound with dubstep , its all in the beat and the wobbles n shit !!!!!!!!! i found that one of the mane things was loads of REVERB and DELAYING , it gives it that dubby vibe , 140 bpm , REGGAE samples , drum hits , and dubstep can be very minimal but sometimes complexed , just got to find the right balance !!!!!!!!! with the beats , they dont need to have so many hats in between the beat , try them on the 1-5 note , and then the 12-16 notes , make sure the snares have alot of reverb on them , i hear alot of dubstep stuff and the beats sound quite weak , but try to make them right , check out my dubstep site , the links r below , im no expert but this is how i got to grips with it , so hope this helps !!!!!!!!!

HaHa ...

Clarkfader´s everywhere ...

I still can´t type dubstep in on youtube* without coming across something of yours !

Someone needs to make some good dubstep video tutorials !!!

Here:

I´m sure I read that this guy doesn´t mind sharing patches and knowledge on dubstepforum.com. He goes by YoniRules on Youtube or The Widdler on myspace.

http://www.myspace.com/widdlemethis
He got some pretty cool tracks on there.

By the way I think minimal is good sometimes.
Less complications.
More chilled and easy going for your brain to absorb.

Modern DubStep doesn´t necessarily use Reggae samples anymore though does it !?
All depends on what vibe you are trying to create methinks right !?

edit:***
Here´s some video links to making wobble bass:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_pg9ZhIiYzs - Reason
http://youtube.com/watch?v=TfzmIGn4mf8 - Reason
http://youtube.com/watch?v=SV3648cxbP0 - Reason

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nZYDmw2pYOk - Massive
http://youtube.com/watch?v=wWM8WC2Go80 - Z3eta

I think that should do ...
No idea about how good the videos are exactly !
Haven´t watched them all but the Reason & Ableton one is pretty good starting point !!! Wink

The wobbly bass isnt the problem. Its just the beats. They seem to come out very electroish when its all said and done. Not really sure what I am doing wrong, but no matter what I do, I cant get the sound I want. Ohs well, I guess all I can do is keep trying, and hopefully I will get a formula down. Oh and btw, Im not talking about the oldskool dub styly. Babylon SoundSystem is one of em, and Im sure alot of u have heard of them. Anyways, peep the toons, and tell me if u can catch anything by ear that I am missing, minus the delay and reverb.
